Donough O'Brien

The author, Donough O’Brien, after four years as an officer in the Irish Guards, has enjoyed an active career in advertising, public relations, graphic design and film-making.

This is his third book. The first, Fringe Benefits, is both an autobiography and biography, featuring the famous and infamous on the fringe of his own life and that of his father, Toby, one of the first political PR gurus. His second, Fame by Chance, examines how places all over the world were made famous by a twist of fate.

Donough’s interest in unearthing hidden facts and quirky events now finds full expression in "Banana Skins". He lives in London with his wife, Liz, also a writer and has two sons and a stepdaughter all working in the media.
